Problem identification and solutions

According to the chart, The largest source of environmental impact in the product life cycle is the  product use,  taking up to 90%. We also found out that the nickel heater of the kettle was the part that has    the largest environmental impact. It is because the core always ends up in landfill. The solution of redesigning the kettle may be to recycle the nickel heater. Manufacturer could encourage consumer to return the core to factories or retailers, and recycle them for the next run of production. Another solution is to maximize the product life by providing warranty. Materials used has been minimized and balance the weight and strength. Making graphs or notices on the kettle to inform customers about how to maximize the product life.
